The Pups!
These pups—past and present—have filled our lives with unconditional love and joy. They are the reason, the inspiration behind our leash holders, a tribute to the bonds that never fade.
Some are still by our side, others have left us, but their paw prints remain, forever cherished, forever remembered.
Foster – Fierce, Loyal and Loving Companion
He was more than just a pet; he was my best pal, my protector, and my shadow. Foster went from absolutely fearing and being scared of everyone, even biting quite a few people, to becoming an extremely loving dog who wanted to be loved on.
He was with me for sixteen years, always by my side. I miss him every minute of every day. My husband nicknamed him Honey badger for multiple reasons. It was funny because when I adopted him, they had named him Honey. Foster was fierce, loyal, caring, and had an 'I don’t care' attitude!
Foster will always hold a special place in my heart. His memory lives on in every moment we shared.
Rudolph - Our Mischievous, Lazy, and Loving Pup
Rudolph – He is our special one. We call him Rude for short, and trust me, it fits him perfectly. He is mischievous, lazy, loving, and well… he is just a character. Rude is one of those pups that makes you wonder, “What is he thinking?”
Rudolph loves to talk, but we just can’t figure out what he is trying to say. His antics and personality bring so much joy and laughter to our lives.
Sweetie –The Fashion-Forward Pup
Our diva is so much so that our mom would lay clothes out for her to wear, and she would get so excited. She would actually pick out which outfit she wanted to wear! Her love for fashion and her ability to choose her own outfits make her truly special.
Her excitement and unique personality bring so much joy to our lives. She’s not just a pet; she’s a fashion icon in our home!
Bentley – Gentle Giant: The Ball-Loving Protector
Our gentle giant has a special bond with his ball – it's his security blanket. He will go on the warpath to find it! So much so, he will even attack the grass if it’s anywhere near his ball. His determination and love for his ball are truly something to behold.
His playful and protective nature brings so much joy and laughter to our lives. He’s not just a pet; he’s our gentle giant with a heart full of love.
Rocky – A True Fighter and Happy Soul
Our amazing guy was adopted after spending many years at various shelters. Despite battling some health issues that have led to him losing his eyesight, he remains a happy dog who loves to play. His resilience and joyful spirit are truly inspiring.
His journey from shelter life to finding a loving home, and his ability to stay happy despite his health challenges, make him a remarkable companion. He’s not just a pet; he’s a testament to the power of love and perseverance.
Bella – Princess: The Sweetest Cuddler and Kisser
Our princess is so sweet that when you look at her you can only smile. She loves cuddling and giving kisses, and she will lay her head on your chest to remind you just how darling she is. Her affectionate nature and loving personality bring so much joy to our lives.
She’s not just a pet; she’s our precious princess who fills our hearts with love and happiness every day.
Ryker – Little Warrior: The Fence Guard and Precious Sweetheart
Our little warrior is the fence guard of our home. He is extremely cautious of people and will nip at your heel to let you know he is in charge. Despite his fierce demeanor, he is my precious sweetheart.
His protective nature and cautious attitude make him a unique and special companion. He’s not just a pet; he’s our little warrior who holds a special place in my heart.
Sawyer – Lovable Troublemaker: The Friendliest Pup You'll Ever Meet
In this picture, she got in trouble… again! She is always getting into some kind of mischief, but she is the most friendly and loving pup you will ever meet. Her playful antics and affectionate nature bring so much joy to our lives.
Despite her knack for getting into trouble, she has a heart full of love and a personality that brightens our days. She’s not just a pet; she’s our lovable troublemaker who we wouldn’t trade for the world.
Not all of these pups belong to me. My husband got Bentley before we were together and he adopted Rocky about six years ago from a shelter here in San Antonio. Now they are both ours.
Foster I was going through some personal issues and one day I get this email showing pups for adoption in the local area. I was just going to look through it and see. I came across this cuties dog. I could not resist meeting him. He was scared and would hardly come to me. I took him home and he made my life better each and every day.
Rudolph is my sons and yes, they are just alike – rudeness aside though. We went to an adoption event and there was this cage full of Blue Healer - Jack Russell puppies, my son stood there for a minute and said “I want that one!” Now we all have our hands full!
Bella, Ryker and Sawyer own my sister and her husband, who happen to be our next-door neighbor.
Sweetie belonged to my mom. Sweetie came to us by way of a sad story, My mom was coming back from the grocery store one day and a car stopped and threw this little dog out and took off. My mom took Sweetie to the vet to be checked out and found out that she had a tumor the size of an egg. After some surgeries and medication we were lucky to keep her with us for a few years. She was extremely spoiled I have to say.
They all have different personalities and some amazing stories. They all have had battles to overcome but the loving homes that they came into and the humans that showed them so much love and patience they were able to conquer their insecurities, being afraid and learning and feeling what love is.
These pups were adopted from different places - The Humane Society https://sahumane.org/, Animal Defense League https://adltexas.org/ , Care Animal Rescue https://caretx.org/, Missys Haven Canine Rescue https://www.facebook.com/MissysHavenCR, the shelter that I got Foster form has since closed their doors. Take a look around at these sites, but be warned they will pull at your heart strings!
